Spring into Summer Program

No time to be a Girl Scout?  Think again!  Our new Spring into Summer program is perfect for having fun in a short amount of time.  Experience the adventure of Girl Scouting.  Join Troop 2008 and see what it’s all about.  Earn two (2) Brownie Girl Scout Try-Its, play games, be creative, and make new friends plus you will earn your membership pin.  Girl Scouts is fun and flexible and this program is tailor-made just for you! Program costs $30.00 and financial assitance is available.

Special Programs

Not only can  your daughter join a traditional troop, but there are other ways to experience the fun of Girl Scouting.  Listed below are some of our other great ways to join Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council.

Daisy Taster:

Daisy Taster Registration Form

Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council offers a summer program for girls beginning Kindergarten or First grade in the fall.  This is a special invitation just for you!  We invite you to join us for a Girl Scout Daisy Taster Summer  Program.   For the months of June, July, August, and September you will receive packets to do at home.  You can get a jump-start on your fall Girl Scout troop!

Each packet will contain activity pages, a craft, and general Girl Scout program information.  The fee for this program is $30.  If needed, financial assistance is available, by simply writing “OF” in the corner of the attached registration form.

Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council ofrece un programa de Verano para niñas que comenzarán el kindergarten o el grado 1 en el otoño. El programa consiste en paquetes enviados por correo a sus hogares durante los meses de Junio, Julio, Agosto y Septiembre conteniendo material con actividades relacionadas con las niñas scouts.

Summer Fun by Mail Program

The Summer Fun by Mail  program is made for busy girls like you.  If you are not currently a registered Girl Scout and you are going to be in 2nd-6th grade in the fall, you are eligible to register for this program.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • Four Program Packets – one packet per month during June, July, August and September.  These packets are designed to guide you through Girl Scout badge work and will also come with an activity, or craft project.
  • The opportunity to participate in Girl Scout camps and events sponsored by Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council, Inc.
  • A Special  Patch

Girl Scout Membership Standards

The Girl Scout Membership Standards

Membership as a Girl Scout is granted to any girl who:

  • has made the Girl Scout Promise and accepted the Girl Scout Law;
  • has paid annual membership dues;
  • meets applicable membership standards.

Membership as a Girl Scout adult is granted to any person who:

  • accepts the principles and beliefs as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution; made the Girl Scout Promise and accepted the Girl Scout Law;
  • has paid annual or lifetime membership dues;
  • meets applicable membership standards. 

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime membership as a Girl Scout adult is granted to any person (18 years of age or older or a high school graduate or equivalent) who:

  • accepts the principles and beliefs as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution; made the Girl Scout Promise and accepted the Girl Scout Law;
  •  has paid lifetime membership dues of 25 times the annual membership dues; lifetime membership dues of 13 times the annual membership dues shall be offered to any girl who is a registered Senior Girl Scout at the time of her high school graduation or equivalent, and be available to her before the girl’s current membership expires;
  • meets applicable membership standards.
