Special Programs
Not only can your daughter join a traditional troop, but there are other ways to experience the fun of Girl Scouting. Listed below are some of our other great ways to join Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council.
Daisy Taster:
Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council offers a summer program for girls beginning Kindergarten or First grade in the fall. This is a special invitation just for you! We invite you to join us for a Girl Scout Daisy Taster Summer Program. For the months of June, July, August, and September you will receive packets to do at home. You can get a jump-start on your fall Girl Scout troop! And when you consider the opportunities at hand, nothing presents a better choice! Local artisan Sandy Winfred has once again contributed the most valuable prizes for the Blackhawk girls’ special raffle event. This year are several gorgeous friendship cz rings in different colors. If you are not familiar with cz jewelry, the stone is a synthesized gem stone called cubic zirconia. Sandy has taken the cubic zirconia gemstone that is hard, optically flawless, and usually colorless, and chosen colored versions of the stone instead of the clear diamond looking version you have probably seen in TV ads or in magazines. The CZ stones are an excellent substitute for expensive diamond jewelry. Sandy then created some lovely ring settings to show off the cubic zirconia. These will be memorable friendship rings any little girl would be happy to have. AND FYI: Sandy says she will also make custom CZ rings for the moms, if anyone should so desire one.
